The 2014 ISA Executive Development Retreat:
Speakers, Panels, & Community Outreach
The annual ISA Executive Development Retreat is held every
year in the summer. It’s a great way to gather with fellow ISA
members for a learning opportunity on a topic of interest, a
community outreach event that benefits a local charity, and a night on the
town at a local point of interest.
This year, the speaker will be Steve
McClatchy, author of the New York
Times Bestseller Decide: Work Smarter,
Reduce Your Stress & Lead by Example.
His presentation will teach how to effectively manage the work-life balance through better decision
The EDR will be holding a panel discussion featuring three
top executives in the industrial supply industry. This session will
provide an open forum to discuss relevant topics that today’s
business leaders face and to share ideas with peers.
Each year the Industrial Supply Association and the Young Ex-
ecutive Forum hosts a worthwhile community outreach event at
the beginning of its Executive Development Retreat. This year,
ISA has decided to return to the Boys & Girls Club for the 2014
community outreach event. This marks the 10th anniversary of
ISA’s volunteer efforts with the Boys & Girls Club of America!
The first ISA Boys & Girls Club community outreach event
took place in Chicago back in 2004.
This year, participants at the 2014 EDR
are teaming up with The Boys and Girls
Club of the Austin Area and will be
volunteering their time on the after-
noon of July 15th. The Boys & Girls Club
of the Austin Area is Austin’s leading
youth development agency and oper-
ates 18 Clubs in Austin. They also help over 12,000 kids each
year (and over 1,700 each day) grow into healthy, responsible,
caring young adults.
The Industrial Supply Association is an association for members of the maintenance, repair, operations and production
supply chain. The 2014 EDR is being held July 15-17 at the InterContinental Stephen F. Austin in Austin, TX. To register for the
EDR and participate in this meaningful community enrichment
activity, visit www.isapartners.org.
More than 200 people gathered June 5-7, 2014, at the historic
Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, in Québec City, Québec for PTDA’s
13th annual Canadian Conference. Networking between channel
partners and peers was the top priority, and there were numerous opportunities to meet with fellow industry executives. The
conference kicked off with the Industry Showcase and Welcome
Reception, a combination of business and informal conversations.
A highlight of the event was a reception and dinner at the Parliament Building, home of the Assemblée nationale du Québec.
Canadian Conference Co-Chairs Gerry Prezeau of Rotator Prod-
ucts Limited and Bruno Mylchreest of Timken Canada LP alternat-
ed as the conference’s emcees, presenting PTDA President Ken
Miko of BDI speaking on PTDA’s strategic plan, and PTDA Foun-
dation President Barbara Ross of Garlock Sealing Technologies
addressing recent successes of
the Industrial Careers Path-
way program. A conference
recap is available at ptda.org/
members also gain exclusive
access to presentations from
